TAMPA, Fla. — Continuous rain has drenched the Tampa Bay area and with that, comes flooding.

The heavy rain is expected to continue which means the flooding will too.

Flooding can happen quickly and leave drivers stranded. Remember this tips if you come across a flooded area.
- Do not drive into flooded streets! Your vehicle can become damage or stranded and the water could be hiding hidden dangers
- Don't wade through flooded water — six inches of fast-moving floodwater can knock you off your feet and two feet of water can sweep an SUV off a road
- Stay away from electrical lines

- Keep your eyes peeled for unseen hazards
- Do not approach electrical lines
- Avoid contact with flood water — contaminated water can make you sick
- Watch out for animals like snakes and insects
- If you come into contact with flooded water, wash the area with soap and clean water
