CLEARWATER, Fla. — The Clearwater Police Department said two people were hospitalized after a construction-related accident at the site of a new Publix.

The City of Clearwater says Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to 1295 S. Missouri Ave. after the call came in at 4:55 p.m.
One man was taken to Morton Plant Hospital, the other went to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. They were both on trauma alerts, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified.
