NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — “Get off my dog bro. Get off my dog bro”. That quote is now on a t-shirt being sold locally.

Someone else had some fun with the video, adding in a voice with what Shep might have been saying during the whole thing.

Pasco Sheriff deputy Nicholas Carmack and K9 Shep are a hit.

People all around the country have now seen that body camera video of a terrific takedown of two wanted men.

“Just kind of crazy. Because it was just like, a wouldn’t say a normal day. We don’t normally chase people like that. But it is a normal thing to do,” said Carmack.

In the video, Carmack forces a handcuffed suspect to run with him into a wooded area to find Shep and the guy they were chasing.

Turns out the driver of a stolen car was choking Shep by the collar after Shep delivered a couple bites.

That's what led to the now famous line.

“I’m ok dad. I’m ok dad.”

“That guy smells like methamphetamines and bad choices.”

“I Love you dad.”

Carmack and Shep appeared on HLN for a nationally televised interview.

“He’s so incredibly alert. Oh just fantastic,” said host Ashleigh Banfield.

Shep is more than a partner for Carmack.

The four-year-old is part of his family.

“When he’s at home, he just plays with his toys. Runs around the house. He lives inside. He doesn’t attack anything. He’s just a normal dog at home.”

The publicity isn't over.

They've also been regulars on the A&E show Live PD and will be featured again Friday night.
