PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — The funeral for baby Clara, the daughter of a Pasco County firefighter, will be held on Wednesday, October 2, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.

Firefighter Hunter Garcia, his wife Kayla and baby Clara were involved in a multi-vehicle roll-over crash on September 13. They were all taken to the hospital in conditions that varied from serious to critical.

Sadly, Clara died two days after the accident. Kayla is continuing her recovery at a rehabilitation center after she was released from the critical care unit on Monday. Hunter remains by her side as he also heals.

Fire rescue says Kayla is expected to stay at the rehab center for another week. They say her long-term prognosis is positive.
