Since our story first aired Nov. 2nd, more pictures have been sent to us of truckers using the Riverbend neighborhood as a shortcut.
Resident Danny Fernandez has cameras which caught truckers cutting through his neighborhood.
"Because they do get off 275 and if traffic is horrendous they gonna find the easiest way out," says Fernandez.
Tampa PD says unless the truck drivers are speeding, there's not a lot they can do.
So we took the trucker troubles to the city.
"It’s just not something that should be happening," says Jean Duncan, Director of the Transportation and Stormwater Services Department.
The city says it will now look into whether signs should be posted in the neighborhood telling truckers to stay out.
The Florida Highway Patrol tells ABC Action news they get these kind of complaints all over the state and the only way to crack down on the truckers is to put up a permanent sign. That actually takes the city passing a city ordinance.
