TAMPA — When it comes to tailgating, nobody does it better than the Tampa Bay Leatherheads.

Many in this group of superfans have been with the Buccaneers for decades.

“My fandom goes back to the absolute beginning," said Tim Young who is known as "The Captain."

The NFL even picked him as the team’s ultimate fan in 2003.

“So I got the royal treatment the last time we went to the Super Bowl which was unbelievable. It was fantastic. So the excitement in the air is beyond that even," said Young.

But to get into this year’s big game without going broke, Tim and the rest of his crew will need a little luck.

Just like all season ticket holders, they are automatically entered in a random drawing for the chance to buy two tickets at face value, which a team representative said will range from $1000 to $4000 depending on where the seats are.

“For those who do get them, good for you. For those of us that may not or may, who knows. But I’m still excited regardless of what happens," said Tyrone Dayhoff.

The team says winners will have 24 hours to buy the tickets.

And tickets cannot be resold or transferred.

But these guys say they wouldn’t sell them anyway.

“As infrequent as this is it is a chance of a lifetime and so you really only get it once if you do get it. So I will not pass on the tickets," said Shawn Conner.

“I would not sell those tickets. You couldn’t pry them from me," said Dayhoff.

No word on how many will get picked in the ticket lottery, But the lucky ones will get an email with the good news by Monday.
