A prayer service was held outside a Ft. Myers club where two teens were killed Monday and numerous others were injured.

The shooting happened about 1:30 a.m. outside Club Blu Bar & Grill. There was a swimsuit-themed party at the nightclub that night.

Ft. Myers detectives have detained three people and are searching for others. Authorities have not released details about the investigation. Sources tell ABC Action News the shooting may have started because of a fight between a group of young people.

"My heart breaks for them 'cause they're just tearing their lives apart," Leslie Naylor said.

Naylor is a counselor at Lehigh Senior High School. She attended the vigil. She was a counselor for Stef'an Strawder, 18. Strawder was killed in the shooting as well as Sean Archilles, 14.

"These kids they just need somebody to speak into their life. They just need somebody to take them in (and) love on them and show them it doesn't have to be this way," Naylor said.

Monday afternoon people filled Club Blu's parking lot with prayer after a violent morning.

Strawder's mom said her son was a hero that morning.

"Somebody was standing in front of him. He pushed him out (of) the way and he took it," she said.

His friend, Sharrell Sibert, said she will miss him. She said they were working on getting back together.

"He was a good person. He was loving. I don't know why they would do that to him 'cause he just not that type of person - like he wasn't in no gang or nothing. He just loved to play basketball," Sibert said.

People said they wanted to stand united to show love and prayer.

"I trust God and he's going to see us through this," one attendee said.
