On Tuesday, August 29, residents of St. Petersburg will head out and vote in the city's Mayoral and City Council District 6 primaries. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark updated the vote-by-mail numbers on Monday. They showed that 67,850 ballots have been mailed, and 35,555 ballots had been returned.
Incumbent Mayor Rick Kriseman is facing a big group on Tuesday, including his leading opponent, Rick Baker. Rick Baker was St. Petersburg's former two-term Mayor. Anthony Cates III, Paul "The Truth" Congemi, Theresa "Momma Tee" Lassiter and Jesse Nevel join the group vying to be next Mayor of St. Petersburg.

Justin Bean, Robert Blackmon, Eritha Akile Cainion, Gina Driscoll, Corey Givens Jr., James “Jim” Jackson, James Scott and Maria L. Scruggs make up the District 6 primary ballot.
The top two candidates in the August 29 primary will move on to the November 7 general election.
