ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A dog was killed in a fire caused by a lightning strike in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
St. Pete Fire Rescue said the strike caused a fire in the 700 40th Street South in St. Petersburg.
The travel trailer was located to the rear of a salvage yard and it was being used as an office. Unfortunately, a dog inside the trailer did perished in the fire. pic.twitter.com/4ZtRXdtDoc

The travel trailer in the back of the home was completely destroyed by the fire. Unfortunately, a dog inside the trailer did perish in the fire, St. Pete Fire Rescue reports.
No injuries have been reported.
Hail has also been spotted in St. Petersburg on Tuesday due to severe weather.
