An Island Village Montessori School teacher is on leave as the Venice Police Department investigates him.
ABC Action News learned he is accused of misconduct, but detectives are not releasing any details about their investigation or information about the accusation against him. We're told it's an active investigation.
ABC Action spoke with a parent, Thursday afternoon, who has two children who attend the charter school. Kara Shaefer said she doesn't know what's going on, but she mentioned a friend received an email from the school, alerting her about the investigation.
"It was just a letter that was sent out by the administration just telling everyone that he was on administrative leave," Shaefer said.
ABC Action News contacted a few staff members at the school, including the principal, and we have not received a response.
