ST. PETERSBURG, Fla — St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to Tropicana Field for a small grease fire on Opening Day.

The Tampa Bay Rays tweeted Thursday morning that the small grease fire took place in the 300 level of Tropicana Field.

According to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, the fire was contained by the sprinklers system.
At this time, they are assisting with smoke ventilation on the third floor and cleanup.
Rays officials said the incident will not impact the 4 p.m. game start or any of the game day operations.
