PALM HARBOR, Fla. -- It was a terrifying ride home from school Monday for Evangelique Ricard.
"I heard like a loud bang and I turned around and my back window is completely shattered,” she said.
She showed us a picture she snapped of the damage — she and her mom saw a clear hole through the class that looked like it was shot from a BB gun.
“Like, if it had hit me while I was at the wheel that wouldn’t have been a great thing to have happened,” she said.

The Pinellas County Sheriffs Office said they’ve taken several reports from Palm Harbor neighbors that claim their cars were also shot up by a BB gun Sunday night into Monday.
"I don’t think they realize the consequences that they’re facing,” said Angelica Ramirez, Ricard’s friend.
Those neighbors each having to dish out several hundred dollars to replace the windows.
On the same night, the sheriffs office says they arrested three young teens for vandalizing two local businesses in the same area, plus a nearby park. But, officials haven’t connected them to the damaged cars.
Either way Ramirez says whoever is damaging the windows needs to stop.
“If you’re that bored that you have to go out and entertain yourselves in this ways, get a job or volunteer, do something that’s helping better the community instead of destroying it,” she said.
And if it’s a kid, Jeff Kelly, who lives nearby says parents need to step up and tell their children it’s no joke.
"You’re responsible for them if you’ve had children that’s you’re number one job and it’s what you should be doing,” said Kelly.
The sheriffs office says if this happened to you, report it or if you know who did the damage call deputies on their non-emergency line at 727-582-6177.
