St. Petersburg officers said they responded to what they're calling a domestic incident around 6 a.m. They said the two men know each other and live in different sections of the house.

After the two started arguing, they ended up in the front yard of the home where 34-year-old Marquise Davis shot the other.

The victim was taken to the hospital. According to St. Petersburg Police PIO Yolanda Fernandez, he's in serious condition with non-life threatening injuries.

At first, police labeled this a SWAT situation because they thought Davis was still inside the house, but they discovered he ran off.

They later located and arrested Davis.

The investigation is ongoing.
