LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — A teenager in Pasco County is a superstar in the making, and she's hopeful for her big break.
Gianna LaFemina, 13, is a triple threat — brains, beauty and talent. Lots of talent!
LaFemina started singing as a little girl, but she just gained the confidence to go public. She was one of the featured performers at the Wesley Chapel Pumpkin Festival in October.
LaFemina and her band hit the stage, and the crowd went wild!
"This teacher I have now pushed me to a point where I feel comfortable singing in front of people. I was a nervous wreck, but I've been getting more comfortable lately," LaFemina said.
LaFemina's got that "it" factor plus a megawatt smile that grabs your attention before she even starts to sing. When she does, it's so smooth.
She's a cross between Dua Lipa and Norah Jones.
Family and friends recognized her talent long before she did. They're pushing to prepare for an even bigger stage.
"I've had people telling me you should go on American Idol, and I'm like, I'm not quite there yet, but I'm definitely leaning toward doing something like that," she said.
LaFemina's willing to put in the work it'll take to get her there. Deep down inside, she knows that's where she's supposed to be.
"You can feel the energy from the crowd like it's something that can't really be explained. This sounds corny — it's like the universe is talking to you in a way you can't get from anywhere else."
