Latest Pasco brush fires ruled arson

Juveniles trespassing were questioned, not charged

Pasco County fire officials said the fires along State Road 54 Wednesday afternoon were intentionally set.

Arson investigators are looking for evidence at the scene where more than 30 acres burned.

No one was hurt of any buildings damaged.

Officials said five different fires started in just a matter of minutes.

The Division of Forestry was flying over the fires when they spotted three juveniles in the area.

Investigators said the boys were trespassing and questioned them. No charges have been filed yet.

Officials said proving arson is difficult because the evidence usually burns up.

But those responsible would face felony charges.
