OLDSMAR, Fla. — A thief crept around a neighborhood and stole a bike while the unsuspecting homeowner was right by her pool. The whole thing was caught on camera.

Randa Pusateri thought it odd her child's bike wasn't in its usual spot. So she checked her surveillance camera. She wasn't expecting to see a hooded, shadowy figure right outside her home.

"I was just shocked," she said. "I kept going back. I think I went back like four times before I went, 'What?!'"

The thief circled cars, checking doors and even searching through Pusateri's golf cart. But when a car drove past he ducked.

"It's not his first time by any means and probably not the last time, and he's pretty good at it," she said.

He then walked to the backyard and saw the $600 bike. The entire time Pusateri was right in front of him. Despite that he still took the bike.

"It's like a sickening feeling like in the pit of your stomach."

But that's not her only close encounter. When he started pedaling off with the bike toward the front yard, Pusateri opened her front door, getting ready to pick up her kids. The thief dropped the bike and ran.

"Yeah it's just incredibly insane to me," said Pusateri.

After blasting the man's face on social media Pusateri says neighbors reached out saying they think they've seen him lurking around before. She's asking everyone to be aware.

"Whether it was a dollar or a million dollar item it doesn't matter. It's just terrifying [for this to happen] in your own home," she said.

In the past month, Oldsmar has seen around 10 burglaries. Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is reviewing the evidence and detectives will be going door-to-door here to see if there are any more victims.
