PLANT CITY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office released new pictures and information in the ongoing search for the driver who hit and killed a young boy on Saturday night.
On Wednesday, the sheriff's office released pictures of a paint chip found at the scene and two vehicles of interest that were in the area at the time. They believe the driver's of the vehicles may have witnessed the crash.
Elijah Rogers, 5, was hit while walking with his mother down Rogers Road just before 9:30 p.m. His mother, Tina Stokes, said the driver blew past the stop sign and hit them head on. Then, according to Tina, the driver made a U-turn and drove back past them.

The sheriff's office released this picture of a red metallic paint chip that was found at the scene.
They also released pictures of these two vehicles of interest. The first is a four-door sedan. The color, make and model are all unknown.
The second vehicle is a smaller SUV, The make, model and color of that vehicle are also unknown.
Stokes wasn't able to get a good look at the vehicle that hit them. She said it was dark out and she was busy trying to save her son.
"I'm his protector," she cried. "I didn't protect him."
She said she will not rest until the driver is caught.
"I'm going to fight for justice for my son," she said. "The driver took a piece of my heart away."
