TAMPA, Fla. — The Outback Bowl Game starts at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
It’s the first-ever match-up between the Auburn Tigers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Over the history of the Outback Bowl, fans have generated $1 billion.
Officials say that’s about $30 million a year.
The bowl donates at least $500,000 a year to dozens of Tampa Bay non-profit organizations.

Fans have been celebrating for this big game all week long.
Many of them were at the Outback Bowl Parade Tuesday night where bands for both teams got to show off their skills.
Thursday’s pre-bowl bash starts at 9 a.m.
There will be live music and a pep rally.
The celebration will be on the south plaza between gates C and D.
The Tampa General Hospital pre-game show starts at 12:20 p.m.
