Medical supplies needed for local hospitals, nursing centers

TAMPA, Fla. -- Hillsborough County is pleading for donations of medical supplies needed at local hospitals, nursing centers and assisted living facilities.

COMPLETE COVERAGE OF CORONAVIRUS

The county is asking medical schools, dental clinics, elective surgery centers, private vendors, residents and others to donate ONLY these items:

• Impervious gowns
• Face shields
• Surgical masks
• N95 masks
• Tyvek suits
• Exam gloves

The donations must be medical grade personal protection equipment (PPE) that is new in the box or unused. All sizes are needed.

CORONAVIRUS IN FLORIDA: CASES, LOCATIONS & LIVE UPDATES

Donations can be dropped off at Sears Automotive shop at 250 Westshore Plaza in Tampa Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

At this time, the donations can be dropped off indefinitely.
