TAMPA, Fla. -- With Hurricane Dorian making its way up the Atlantic Coast, Hillsborough County school officials have decided to cancel school Tuesday.
If Dorian doesn't hit the Tampa Bay area, the county and the City of Tampa will open all of its 25 recreational centers for "no school day camp." Students ages 5 to 14 will be able to go for free.
Parents will have to provide lunch and the camp will open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"It is now a strong and extremely dangerous Category 5 hurricane," said Timothy Dudley, the Director of Emergency Management for Hillsborough County.
The storm has been unpredictable from the start. Even though it looks like Tampa will won't get hit, that could change quickly. Leaders say it's important that everyone is prepared for the worst.
"We are not out of the woods yet," Dudley said. "We're waiting for that northern turn."
You need to make sure you have updated Hurricane kit with enough supplies to last seven days. Stock your cabinets with food and water. Make sure you have an updated phone list with all important phone numbers.
"We know with the past intensity of these storms we could lose power for seven days," said Dudley.
Dudely said the county is ready, and crews are on standby just in case. The school district and county have worked together to put a shelter plan in place as well.
"We have staged food and equipment," said Grayson Kamm, with Hillsborough County Schools.
Parents will be required to complete registration paperwork before dropping their children off at the community center. The paperwork will be available inside all community centers. Space is limited at certain sites which may require relocating to a different facility.
