While we say goodbye to the fried food, sky-high rides and unbelievable fun that comes along with the Florida State Fair, one local couple is saying hello to their future together.
ABC Action News' own Andrea Lyon was enjoying the last weekend of the fair with her family when a crowd of people got her attention.
They were shouting in the direction of the Ferris wheel and holding up signs that painted a loaded question.
“WILL YOU MARRY HER?”
Caught up in the moment, photographer Jennifer Goodlet, who was with Lyon at the time, ran in front of the group to catch the action.

It was hard to see the couple while they were on the ride, but when Maryan Ortiz and Sulaim Velez eventually came down, they were all smiles because she said YES!
Velez and Ortiz said it was a long time coming and that they were both all nerves, but that the moment was perfect.
The ring was too! Almost, at least. The vintage platinum and diamond ring may have been a half size too small, but Ortiz says all that matters is that she said yes.
