TAMPA, Fla. — Nine vehicles were destroyed after a fire at a Tampa tow lot overnight.

The call came in at approximately 2:14 a.m. on Wednesday. Crews responded to Larsen's Towing at 4608 N Lois Avenue in Tampa.
An investigator with Tampa Fire Rescue tells ABC Action News they believe the fire is an arson. They said they spoke to a witness who told them they saw a suspicious person near the business around the time of the fire. They said they were seen on surveillance video, which has not been released at this time.
An employee called 911. They saw several cars on fire. The fire spread and damaged nine vehicles, destroying them.

The tow company closed their gate and declined to comment on the incident.
A neighbor who lives behind the tow lot said a few people saw a car they didn't recognize in the neighborhood.
"They were like waiting in the road and then they took off," Marc Vance said.
The fire remains under investigation.
"I'm curious to find out what happened," Vance said.
