TAMPA, FLA - Detectives are searching for the people who were involved in a home invasion robbery.
It happened Saturday afternoon at a home on the 2400 block of West State Street. According to Tampa police detectives, a person at the home was hurt during the robbery and did not survive. The victim received injuries to the top part of their body. Investigators are not releasing any additional details about their investigation. The suspects got away and officers are still looking for them.
“To do it in the daytime, when the kids are out, you know, it’s kind of crazy. Whoever it is was not scared to do it,” Kathy Castllo said.
Castllo lives a few streets away from where the crime happened and her friend lives a few houses down from it.
“The officers were all asking us questions like what we saw (and) what we know about that family, but thank God, you see this neighborhood here, a lot of people have cameras here,” Castllo said.
