A Tampa man has claimed the top prize in the Florida Lottery's $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE scratch-off game.
Allen Thomas, 61, chose to take his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $810,000.
He bought his winning ticket from the 7-Eleven at 7401 E. Broadway Ave. That 7-Eleven will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The $2 game, $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE, launched in July 2019 and has more than 9.8 million winning tickets, including eight top prizes of $1,000 a week for life.
This is the third time this week a Tampa resident has won a major prize through the Florida Lottery.
