Traffic backups are underway in the area of West Hillsborough and North Lois avenues following a motorcycle vs. car traffic crash at the intersection early Saturday morning, police said.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes on West Hillsborough Avenue for a quarter of a mile. Portion of northbound North Lois Avenue also was closed.
The accident occurred about 5 a.m., Tampa police said.
At this time it is unclear which direction each vehicle was traveling. But on impact the motorcycle ended up on its side. The car careened into parts of a Circle K convenience store.
The motorcyclist is alive. The condition of the injured was not released.
