Deputies are searching for two teens who attacked a woman inside her home.
The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. Sunday at a home along 93rd Avenue in unincorporated Seminole.
David Sanders, who lives next door, said he was surprised when he heard about the attack.
"I mean why are you going to hit a lady? This lady, I mean, she's in her 60's, you know. Why are you going to hit somebody like that? It don't make sense," Sanders said.
Deputies woke Sanders up around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning. He said that's when they notified him his neighbor had been robbed. Deputies said the teenagers stole valuables, but they did not release additional details.
"I didn't hear nothing because I go to bed every night by 8 o'clock. I was dead (a)sleep," Sanders said.
Deputies said the teens covered their faces with masks, wore gloves, and had a gun. They said the teens pistol whipped the homeowner.
"There's no need for something like that, you know," Sanders said.
Jorden Lugo is worried because she lives a few doors down from where the incident occurred.
"If that's happening, you know, 10 o'clock at night on a Sunday night yeah that's a little disturbing. That's not okay," Lugo said.
Lugo said she plans to do more around her home to protect herself.
"They could have picked any house. It makes me wonder why that house," Lugo said.
