A family managed to escape injury after a large tree branch crashed through their home in Seminole Heights.

The tree fell on the home located on N 13th Street on Wednesday afternoon as rain from Tropical Storm Hermine came down.

Seven people were inside the home when the large branch smashed through the roof.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

Linda Dorman says she kept her five children, ranging in age from 12 to 5, home from school on Wednesday with the belief that would best keep them safe from the storm.

The family tells ABC Action News reporter Adam Winer that parts of the tree crashed into all the rooms in the house, forcing the family to get help from relatives, friends, and the Red Cross.
