SARASOTA, Fla. — Doctors Hospital of Sarasota confirmed that a physician tested positive for COVID-19 Friday evening.
Officials said the physician was in the behavioral health unit. The unit is secure with a limited amount of patients and employees.

All patients have private rooms and physicians consult with patients in a distance.
Visitors are not permitted in the units.
Patients and employees who had contact with the physician were notified.
The Florida Department of Health is following up with patients who may have been potentially exposed. All employees are screened daily and no employees have developed symptoms.
Officials said the physician is doing well and is self-isolating at home.
