TAMPA, Fla. -- The Hillsborough County School District will have a new policy in place for families picking up weekly meals.
The school district announced the families must give the student ID number before picking up food.
If you do not have a student number because your child is too young or attends a school outside of the district, you can also use your child’s name and date of birth.
Beginning Wednesday, April 22, our district will be implementing new procedures for families picking up weekly meals at our Grab-and-Go sites. If you are picking up food for a student in our district, you must provide their student ID number. pic.twitter.com/hknrVN30jz

The change in policy comes after some distribution sites ran out of food last week because some of the students went to multiple sites for meals.
Some of the meals from the program even showed up for sale online.
