TAMPA BAY, Fla. - If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend (March 9-11), there's plenty of action happening around the Tampa Bay area.

Friday, March 9

Valspar Championship

When: March 8-11
Where: Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club at 36750 US Highway 19 North, Palm Harbor
Cost: $39
Info: Watch some of the best golfers in the world compete at the PGA Tour Valspar Championship this weekend! Cuts will be made at the end of the day to see who will move on to days three and four. See who can outwit the Snake Pit, which is the nickname for the ultra-challenging Copperhead course at Innisbrook Resort. Even Tiger Woods made it down to compete against some of the best names in golf. The Golf Channel will broadcast from 2-6 p.m. Get your tickets at ValsparChampionship.com. 

 

The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

When: March 9-11
Where: Downtown St. Pete at 480 Bayshore Drive Southeast, St. Petersburg

Info: The Firestone Grand Prix is returning to St. Petersburg March 9-11 for three days of fast cars, world-class drivers and family fun. The streets of downtown St. Pete have been transformed into a 1.8-mile, 14-turn (5 lefts, 9 rights) racetrack with a great waterfront view. Even a section of the runway at Albert Whitted Airport will be used for the race. 

 

 

Florida Strawberry Festival

Gasparilla Music Festival 2018

Tampa Bay Fossil Fest

Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival

When: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. 
Where: Busch Gardens at 10165 N McKinley Drive Terrace Park, Tampa

Info: The festival features signature dishes along with exciting new cuisine, including 16 all-new dishes plus a large selection of wines, craft brews and cocktails. Eighteen of the biggest acts in musical entertainment will take the stage every weekend on Gwazi Field. All concerts are included with any Annual Pass, Fun Card or daily admission to the park.
