Friday, July 21

Kids' Gasparilla International Film Festival

Bring the kids! Families can enjoy the new Gasparilla International Film Festival which aims to inspire children with screenings of the short films from the New York Children’s International Film Festival. The entrance fee is $15, $12.50 for military/seniors, $9.50 for children and under one year is free. 

Christmas in July

Celebrate Christmas early! Enjoy discounts from participating stores at Sundial St. Pete. You will have the rare opportunity to see Santa in his finest summer clothing. Families can delight in arts and crafts, snow machines and music. This event is free for all ages and runs through Saturday, July 22.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Texas Rangers

The Tampa Bay Rays will host the Texas Rangers for a weekend series at Tropicana Field. Swing by a 7-Eleven on Friday to pick up upper level tickets for only $7.11.

Snooty's 69th Birthday Bash

Meet Snooty, the world’s oldest manatee! He turned 69 years old on Friday, which breaks another Guinness World Record for the oldest manatee in captivity. Check out Snooty’s 69th Birthday Bash at the South Florida Museum on Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Admission to the outdoor birthday party is free. All day reduced admission prices to the museum, aquarium and planetarium are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors (65 and over), $7 for children ages 4-12, and children under 4 are free with a paying adult.

 

Tampa Bay Storm Scout Sleepover

Attention Scouts and Storm fans! Now's the chance to watch a Tampa Bay Storm game and have a sleepover at Amalie Arena. The Storm will take on the Cleveland Gladiators at 7 p.m. Choose between a $15 ticket that includes admission, a Storm hat and Scout patch or $35 ticket that adds a Storm Bucks Gift Card, post-game movie, sleepover, plus fruit and coffee the next morning.

Putts for Mutts

Putts for Mutts Annual Golf Tournament will benefit the Maxx & Me Pet Rescue with all proceeds helping dogs in need. It's $100 for all players and it includes lunch.  Enjoy cute pups, golf, prizes and live auctions.

Art of the Brick

If you haven’t done so already, check out the world's largest LEGO art display in Downtown Tampa. The Art of the Brick features 100 artworks made out of LEGO bricks by award winning artist Nathan Sawaya. Admission is free. The Art of the Brick will be in Tampa through September 4.

 

Disney’s Lion King Jr. at the Straz Center

Hakuna Matata! It means no worries! The Patel Conservatory students will bring Pride Rock to life at the Straz Center as they play the roles of Simba, Rafiki, Timon and Pumba in this coming of age tale. This event is only $20 and is open to all ages.

Bridal Show

Future brides can enjoy over 7,000-square-feet of local vendors that will help make your wedding even better. The first 50 brides to register will receive a $20 gift card with tons of other giveaway prizes as well. The show begins at noon and runs through 4 p.m. at the Marriot in St. Pete.
