Dinner on a budget: Feed your family for $20 with homemade version of Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supreme

I'm taking action to save you money. Every week I scan local grocery advertisements to see what is on sale. I then find a delicious recipe using items on sale to feed your whole family for under $20.

This week’s “Dinner on a Budget” features Publix grocery store’s ground round. It is on sale for $3.99 per pound. Sargento shredded cheese, Pace salsa, picante sauce and queso dip are also buy one get, one free.

You can combine all those ingredients for an easy-to-make, delicious copycat version of Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap Supreme I found on Delish.com.

Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 c. Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • 4 tostada shells
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. Shredded lettuce
  • 1 c. chopped tomatoes
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar
  • 1 c. Shredded Monterey Jack
  • vegetable oil
  • Hot sauce, for serving
