TAMPA BAY - There will be a few showers for the morning commute but the bulk of the rain looks to hold off until the late morning. Rain and a few storms continue through the afternoon with a chance for street flooding in poor drainage areas. Rain will taper off in the evening. Highs today will mainly be in the low to mid 80s.
We will continue with quite a bit of cloud cover and higher chances for rain on Saturday, especially in the afternoon and evening. It won't be a complete washout, but certainly higher coverage than we'd like on a weekend day.
On Sunday, we should see a bit more sunshine but still look for a few showers.
The next work week returns to a pretty typical Florida weather pattern with highs near 90.
In the Tropics: All is quiet locally, as Hurricane Edouard moves WNW in the open waters of the Atlantic. There is a batch of storms moving off the coast of Africa with a slight chance for development over the next week that we are keeping an eye on.
