Winter Haven Police search for men accused of using stolen credit cards

Winter Haven Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating two men accused of using stolen credit cards.

Damaris Antwun Matthews used the stolen card at Family Dollar located at 206 Ave T NW in Winter Haven on July 8 at approximately 2 p.m., according to police.  An unidentified man also utilized a card from the same victim at the store a few minutes later. 

Detectives believe the two are together and need the public's help in identifying the second subject. The unidentified man is a black male in his mid to late 20's, heavyset with a full beard.

Matthews is 25 years-old and goes by the nickname of "Pappy". He has "Pappy" tattooed on his right arm with a gun and skull tattooed on his left arm.

Matthews has an extensive criminal history including time served in the Florida State Prison system for Robbery and Possession of a Weapon by Convicted Felon. He was released in February 2015.  He has been arrested for Armed Robbery, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Assault and Disorderly Conduct. Police have obtained a current warrant for his arrest.

Heartland Crime Stoppers is offering a CASH reward of up to $3,000 for any information leading to the arrest of Matthews. Anyone with information on his whereabouts or the identity of the second subject is asked to call 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for the CASH reward.
