Tarpon Springs announces 4th of July events

Looking for some Fourth of July fun?

The City of Tarpon Springs is hosting its Fourth of July Patriotic Picnic in the Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Craig Park.

The park is located at Tarpon Avenue at Springs Boulevard, just west of Alternate 19.

Bring lawn chairs and towels.

That evening at 8:30 p.m., the city will present its fireworks display at 1700 Sunset Drive at Fred Howard Park.

The park, beach and causeway will be open for parking to view the event.  Once the park is at full capacity, the gates will be closed for safety. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park.

For fireworks set up and safety, the north end of Sunset Beach and the boat launch will be closed on Monday, July 4. The south side of the beach and causeway will close at 2 p.m.
