Police responded to a shooting behind a Checkers location at 15th and Fowler around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
TPD said a shooter opened fire on a man behind the restaurant before riding away from the scene on a bicycle. The victim, later identified as 24-year-old Marquette Dames (pictured above), died of his injuries at the hospital the following day.

There is no information on the suspect, but the search remained active as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
