MIAMI, Fla. — Tropical Storm Karen is slightly stronger, but is forecast to become a "remnant low" by Sunday, the National Hurricane Center said on Thursday.
A remnant low is a type of post-tropical cyclone that no longer has the organization required to be a tropical cyclone.
Karen is moving north-northeast near 14 mph. NHC says Karen is forecast to decrease in forward speed through Thursday evening before making a slow clockwise loop. The storm will move westward by early Sunday.
