MIAMI — Gamma has downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone after being a tropical storm over the last few days., the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
According to the NHC's 11 a.m. Monday update, Gamma is about 85 miles east-northeast of Progreso, Mexico. The system has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and is moving southwest at 6 mph.
Gamma is expected to dissipate by Wednesday, NHC says.
