Just when flood water along the Withlacoochee River finally starts to recede, the flooded area braces for more rain this weekend.
The water that crested more than a week ago has gone down about two feet still putting the flood stage at 15 and a half feet.
And with rain expected this weekend, people are praying that water won’t come back up.
12-year-old Mercedes Nyman found some of her bedroom furniture floating down the river. She said, "This is our childhood and we’re known for whatever we have in our house so to see it floating down a river is really sad."
Rain will start Friday night near Ridge Manor where homes are already flooded and the area could see up to another three-quarters of an inch over the weekend
