Local law enforcement agencies and county officials are urging residents to stay inside as the effects of Irma are not yet behind us, despite the fact that the center of the storm has already passed the Tampa Bay Area. The back-winds of Hurricane Irma will still whip back around through the Bay Area, likely causing additional, significant damage.

Please stay off the roads. Lots of downed power lines especially on the north end of town. City crews and TECO fully engaged. Be safe

Stay off the roads. Traffic signals out, wires down, trees down, debris in the road. Remain in homes as officers return to streets.
