TAMPA, Fla. It's a step forward to a heart-healthy lifestyle. This weekend, thousands will walk in the annual American Heart Association Heart Walk in Tampa. Tampa is just one of more than 300 events across the country Saturday to raise money and awareness for healthier lifestyles, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Heart disease kills one woman every 80 seconds.
For drivers and residents in the area, there are several road closures in effect on Saturday, November 11. A detailed map provided by the city of Tampa is below.
4 a.m. to 2 p.m. closures
Eastbound and westbound Tampa Bay Blvd. from N Himes Ave. to N Dale Mabry Hwy.
7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. closures
Southbound Himes Ave. from MLK to Hillsborough Ave
Northbound and southbound Himes Ave from Tampa Bay Blvd. to MLK
Eastbound and westbound MLK from Himes Ave to Dale Mabry
