Cone Zones: Tampa Bay road construction projects that could affect your commute 9/23 to 9/29

The Dale Mabry entrance ramp to the Veterans Expressway will close 8pm to 5am, Sunday, September 24. DETOUR: Enter the Veterans Expressway from Ehrlich Rd.

The Veterans Expressway northbound north of Linebaugh Ave. will close overnight Tuesday, September 26 from 8pm to 5am. DETOUR: Exit at Linebaugh Ave. Travel west to Wilsky Blvd., then north to re-enter the Veterans northbound.

The Veterans Expressway northbound lanes will be closed at Ehrlich Rd. overnight Thursday, September 28 from 8pm to 5am. DETOUR: Exit at Ehrlich. Travel east on Ehrlich, then north on Dale Mabry Highway, then west on Van Dyke Rd. to re-enter the Veterans Expressway northbound.

The Veterans Expressway southbound lanes will be closed at Ehrlich Rd. overnight Thursday, September 28 from 8pm to 5am. DETOUR: Exit at Van Dyke Rd. Travel west to Gunn Hwy and then south to Ehrlich Rd and travel east on Ehrlich to re-enter the Veterans southbound.

The Suncoast Parkway  southbound entrance ramp from State Road 50  will be closed all weekend from 9pm Friday, September 29 . The ramp will re-open at 5am Monday, October 2. DETOUR: Travel west on SR 50 to Barclay Ave., then travel south to Spring Hill Dr., then east to enter the Suncoast Parkway.

I-275 

Plan for nightly lane closures on the southbound I-275 exit ramp to Busch Blvd. The right turn lane is expected to be closed on Exit 50 to Busch Blvd between 9pm and 5am Sunday through Thursday. (September 24-28)

Truckers are encouraged to use Exit 51 and take Fowler Ave to Nebraska Ave or Florida Ave and go  south to Busch Blvd. 

I-4

Plan for closure of the eastbound I-4 ramp to northbound I-75 two nights. Construction is expected to start at 9pm and finish at 5am Monday and Tuesday nights. (September 25, 26)

DETOUR: Bear right at the ramp split to go south on I-75 . Use Exit 260 to MLK/SR 574. Turn left at the top of the ramp and go east on MLK/SR 574. Turn left to enter northbound I-75.
