UPDATE | 7:40 a.m.-- All NB lanes of the Howard Frankland have been reopened following a crash involving an overturned vehicle and RV early Friday. The Gandy Bridge has also seen significant backups this morning.

ORIGINAL STORY | The NB lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge are shut down due to a multi-vehicle accident with serious injuries involving an RV and an overturned vehicle before the hump.

FHP says it will impact morning commutes, as the lanes will be shut down for at least a couple of hours.

FHP Troopers responded to the call at 4:41 a.m. Friday. A vehicle hit a furniture dolly in the roadway, lost control and collided with an RV. The RV ran into the center median barrier wall and hit a pickup which then overturned.

Traffic is being diverted onto the Ulmerton/Roosevelt exits.

Action Air One is flying to the scene, and ABC Action News will keep you posted on any further updates.
