WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. -- Elijah Russell was at this Wesley Chapel Target, and the sneakers he was wearing were in rough shape.

“They were flopping. You could see the soles popping out. And they just kept clapping," said Russell.

A woman noticed them and offered to buy Elijah a new pair.

He politely declined.

But she later tracked him down where he works at and delivered a new pair of size 13 sneakers.

“I was kind of shocked that someone would be thinking of me like that just to be so kind," said Russell.

“When we do things for others, we should spread it and make people realize that it’s really simple. Something easy that you can do," said Elijah's mother, Kiyana Whitfield.

“Makes we want to help other people. If I see someone in need, give them something to because someone else gave me that opportunity," said Russell.

Elijah still doesn’t know who the woman is, but he wants others to know about her good deed.

And he’s feeling great with his new kicks.
