University of Tampa swimmer headed to Rio

Sixteen of 21 years of Jordan Augier’s life has been spent in the water.

His love for swimming has now taken him to the highest level a swimmer can dream: A trip to the Olympics.

Jordan, who graduated from UT in May, will be one of about 90 swimmers competing in the 50 meter freestyle on August 11. The former UT Spartan will be swimming for St. Lucia.

What makes his journey to Rio even more special is he predicted he would be swimming in the 2016 Summer Olympics to his friends a decade ago.

Now that his prediction has come true, Jordan’s story teaches a valuable life lesson.
