MLB Network is no longer available for Frontier Communications customers.
The company sent out an email early Wednesday morning to its customers announcing the programming change.
"Please know that until our contract with the programmer expired, Frontier worked hard to negotiate a fair deal," the company said. "Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement."
Frontier says all providers are facing the continuing need to reassess their channel and content lineup, and that no provider is immune from network negotiations.
Frontier recommends signing up for mlb.tv or watching some of the other sports channels that air Major League Baseball.
The change in programming goes into effect Wednesday.
