Former Bucs coach Lovie Smith takes Illinois job

According to several sources, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith has taken a coaching position at the University of Illinois. 

Smith was fired as Buccaneers head coach after the 2015 season following an 8-24 record in his two seasons with the team. The statement from team sources called his performance a 'disappointment' despite the steady growth of young talent like Jameis Winston and Mike Evans.
