The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced that late owner Malcolm Glazer and Super Bowl-winning head coach Jon Gruden will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor this season.

The Bucs say Glazer will be honored during the team's nationally televised Thursday Night Football home game against the New England Patriots on October 5, while Gruden will be inducted on December 18 during halftime of a Monday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons.

They will be the 10th and 11th members of the Ring of Honor respectively and join Buccaneer greats like Lee Roy Selmon, John McKay, Jimmie Giles, Paul Gruber, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Mike Alstott, Doug Williams and John Lynch.

Glazer and Gruden were each part of the Bucs' first and only Super Bowl winning team in January of 2003 when Tampa Bay beat the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII.

Aside from his ownership with the team, Glazer was also a big part of the community, establishing the Glazer Family Foundation in 1999. He also helped secure two Super Bowls for the city of Tampa.

Gruden won 57 games with the team, the most in franchise history and led Tampa Bay to three postseason appearances.

“I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the Buccaneer organization, and the Glazer family in particular, for the tremendous honor of entering the Ring of Honor along with Mr. Glazer,” said Gruden. “Malcolm Glazer set the expectations for the entire organization by creating a family atmosphere that really helped bring everyone together. He was everything a coach or a player could ask for in an owner and I am very grateful that we got to experience that Super Bowl victory together.”
