TAMPA, Fla. -- The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce will host a discussion Tuesday on the proposed Ybor City stadium site for the Tampa Bay Rays.

The event is part of the Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay Our Vision Series which tries to address long term issues that could have a lasting impact on the local business community.

"We need to do something now to make sure we keep the Rays in the Tampa Bay region," says Andrew W. Smith with Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay. "We'll have phase one where we discuss what does success look like and how do we get that done."

  • Chuck Sykes, President & Chief Executive Officer, Sykes
  • Zach Effron, Executive Director, Public Finance, JPMorgan Chase

Many questions still remain like how would the proposed stadium be funded?

The stadium discussion is occurring at the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant & Research located at 1410 N 21st Street in Tampa. Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. with the panel discussion starting at 6:00 p.m.

The cost to attend the event is $20 in advance for Chamber or Emerging Leader members and $30 for non-members. Drinks and light appetizers will be provided. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.
