NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Pasco County families struggling to make ends meet due to the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for relief starting on Tuesday, August 11.

The Community CARES program will help pay your bills directly. Eligible bills under the program include mortgage (for homesteaded properties), rent or utilites (water and/or electric).

The one-time assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis to approximately 150 Pasco County residents earning no more than 80% of the Area Median Income and can prove an economic impact from COVID-19.

Each household could receive up to $3,500 through the Community CARES program.

You can apply for aid by clicking here. Applications will be accepted Tuesday starting at 9 a.m.

Pasco County received funding for the Community CARES program via the federal CARES Act passed by Congress. Officials are hoping to make additional assistance available for county residents in the coming months.
